    Unhappy GTK open and save window crashes

    Hallo

    I've got a big problem on a F10 (i386) box. I work with KDE 4.3.1.

    The open and save dialogue of gtk(Gnome) crashes in many applications. It works in audacity. It crashes in gimp, firefox, thunderbird, xsane and gtkpod.

    The is alleyways a "Segmentation fault" in the console output. See below.

    I all ready reinstalled all gtk-packages.

    Any one a idea?

    [thomas@192 ~]$ firefox
    /usr/lib/firefox-3.0.14/run-mozilla.sh: line 131: 2160 Segmentation fault "$prog" ${1+"$@"}

    It look like, the of save and open dialogue problem is a security problem. May an SELinux-Problem. It works fine for root. Any idea?

    I could locate the problem. If I delet the file /home/username/.local/share/mime/mime.cache the problem is solved.

    Does anybody know what this file is for?
