encrypt files with bcrypt

Hi guys,
Could anyone plz submit a step-by-step example of how to encrypt a file with bcrypt?
I know it's been posted on a few sites, however, being a Fedora newbie I'd like to now exactly how to type in the file names, where to type in the passphrase etc, thx...

why do people use bcrypt - someone emailed me a bcrypted file. what's wrong with gnupg or zip with a password?

its not hard, just bcrypt and then the filename of the file you want to encrypt.

if you don't use the -r flag it will delete the original

so "bcrypt -r myfile.pdf" will give you myfile.pdf.bfe after asking twice for a password, and leave the myfile.pdf in place

using bcrypt

It's actually all about the pure pleasure of knowing that whatever happens to a file ( stealing , etc ) it will be of little use for the thief :-) I also must have typed something wrong as the encryption process simply didn't start ( possibly it was just the pressing of the space button in a wrong place, but that's why I need an example)
