Question aftereffects of installing exaile

hi
i installed exaile through yum ,but it won't start giving some eroor about python symbols
so i uninstalled it but now pidgin doesn't work

pidgin: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/gst-0.10/gst/_gst.so: undefined symbol: gst_task_pool_get_type

even the updates failed with some python symbol error
plz help
