Sharepoint Alternative

Hey,

I am looking for a free Sharepoint alternative. Two options I've briefly looked at are Alfresco and HyperOffice. HyperOffice is out of the question because it is not free.

For now, I just want to post some help documentation. There are about 30 folders with a maximum of 3 sub folders in each. There are about 150 files in total. This number is growing at about 2 files a week. The number of files and folders will grow drastically once my work place switches to a new system.

I would also like to have certain employees have access to certain files and track their updates, if possible.

I will research the different possibilities and post back my observations.

Any suggestions and experience with the products would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
