Change timezone from BST to UTC.

Hi guys,
How do i change the timezone from BST to UTC ( through the terminal only )

SERVER ~ # cat /etc/sysconfig/clock
ZONE="Europe/London"
UTC=true
ARC=false

However a date shows :
Wed Sep 16 11:07:15 BST 2009

Any ideas?

Thanks
L

What are you trying to achieve?

The time you have quoted is the in line with that of your posting.

It looks like your bios clock is set to UTC, which is the correct way for an OS to work, ones that reset the bios clock twice a year are just wrong.

What timezone are you trying to get to? I would guess you change the ZONE to your location, a location in your profile would be helpful here.

The BST is probably in the file /etc/localtime but that is not a text file. Copy it to another system and binary edit it then copy it back?
