Is it just me or does the facebook lite profile picture look very similar to the fedora wallpaper?

I see absolutely no resemblance, except for the color, balloon, clouds and "f". Otherwise, not a damned thing.

Yeah I've noticed that they use a similar F and, now that you bring it up, overall balloon theme. Maybe someone who develops for facebook uses fedora. lol

There are some similarities, but not much. It's probably just a coincidence, but who knows...

Hi

Balloon flying over the clouds wasn't conceptualized first by Fedora.

I'm certain that the OP was referring to the overall feel though. I mean, I understand that the 'F' stands for 'facebook' but if you put it on a balloon, and add clouds, it kind of resembles Fedora imo

That was one of the last wallpapers done by Diane Fong over at Redhat. Her artwork, especially when in collaboration with Mola, had a really nice cutting edge to it. Unfortunately, that surreal edgy quality was lost when Diane left Redhat and her work was summarily declared, "over the top."

In Facebook's defense more people know about Facebook then about Fedora...

er Bob, the number of Internet users in the state of Florida who are aware of the existence of Facebook number 3,623,825 users, which is 73.557765% of entire internet users. The number of those who are aware of Fedora Linux is only 35,875. This is a mere .8667320543% of Florida Internet users. This means that Facebook is the hands down winner of the Florida electoral ballot.

BTW, these numbers are derived from the Ely, Nevada department of statistics.

But, in my house, its a 1:1 ratio for facebook and fedora

That's gotta count for something.
