OpenVPN routes

I am having an issue when using my laptop as an OpenVPN client. I am currently running Fedora 11 and I am attempting to use the gnome network manager to configure the VPN. I have no problem connecting, but once connected i cannot get to any websites. When i look at the routing table I don't have any routes. I contemplated adding a router under the configuration, but my next hop address will change every time that i connect. Any suggestions?
