Hiding dot files in "Save" and/or "Save As"

When saving a file the "Save" and/or the "Save As..." window offers hidden files (. files) as possible choices regardless of the "File Management Settings". Inexperienced users or simple typing errors can cause the file to be saved improperly to a hidden directory. Is it possible to modify these functions so the dot files are not shown?

Help appreciated.

Hiding dot files in "Save" and/or "Save As..."

Found the answer:

Right click in the files list, deselect "Show hidden files".

Thanks
