Hi all,
I installed Fedora Core Linux 11 (PPC Edition) on my Power Mac G3 earlier and when I rebooted it came up with First Stage Fedora Bootstrap and gave me the option to load fedora, cdrom, network or openfirmware.
If I choose cdrom or fedora or do nothing it loads second stage then the blinking question mark appears. Openfirmware opens fine but I don't know what to change in there.
All I really want to do it boot either from CD to re-install Linux and maybe a better result, or re-install os 9 which I have a CD for (unfortunately I don't have a DVD Drive).
However I can't boot from cd as i said and holding down buttons on startup does nothing. The only thing I can do on startup is reset the PRAM which hasn't helped much.
Otherwise from that I'm lost and have a useless mac. I've asked around on several mac forums but no one has a clue. I can still change settings in open firmware which I tried but then reset again and still no luck. Is there some kind of special trick for loading this or an error in my installation?
