FC11 - Dell M1330 - Suspend Issue

I thought I figure this out a couple of weeks back, but I am still having problems....

My Configuration:
FC11 - Dell M1330

Issue:
- Can't get suspend to work correctly...
- What I need is to be able to either:
press Fn+Esc or Fn+F1 to get the computer to suspend

Current situation:
- So last time I learned ACPI and HAL doesn't work nicely togheter
- My solution was to disable ACPI.
(This gets things working, but not to my satisfaction)...
- Currently if I press Fn+F1 this calls: pm-hibernate
This takes quite some time, and annoys me.
- I want to use: pm-suspend
- But I haven't figure out how...?
- If I configure power options through gnome-power-management
and set the option to Suspend when I press Sleep...

I get the following behavior:
+ PC goes to Hibernate
+ When I Resume ("thaw"), this goes ok but..
+ PC goes back to hibernate automatically....
+ Need to resume to get it back up....

Please give me any help or link.

Thanks

Thanks for the information!

I had some extra steps to make it work, but now works very nice by either resume with the lid or power button.

For anyone with M1330 and FC11 kernel (2.6.29.6-217.2.7.fc11.x86_64)

:: Fix Double suspend | hibernate ::
Check the following:
- Disable & Stop ACPI service (I am running only pm-utils)
- Do the steps (given by David) where:
+ edit|add the file /home/<user>/.Xmodmap to have blank the lines for:
keycode 213 =
keycode 150 =

+ if you want to be sure this are your keys as well, do:
Code:
xmodmap -pke | grep -i Suspend
xmodmap -pke | grep -i Sleep

And something like this will be returned:
          keycode 213 = XF86Suspend NoSymbol XF86Suspend NoSymbol XF86Suspend
          keycode 150 = XF86Sleep NoSymbol XF86Sleep NoSymbol XF86Sleep
- Log out and Log In
- If you get prompted for reloading the .Xmodmap, do it
- At this time, your Fn+(F1 or Esc) doesn't work
- I removed the .Xmodmap file
- And set Power Option to Suspend

Now I am happy with my Suspend to Ram working nice and quick.

Thanks David!
