Cvs

Okay this gas been a recurring problem for me on FC2 nearly everytime I try to get something via anonynous cvs it doesn't work. It will prompt me for a password which I leave blank since this is supposed to be anonymous. [There is never any indication I need a password on the sites I usually see the command listed like the YUM project site for example.] I can never get into the repository and do what I need to do and in this case I can't fix YUM if I can't get the CVS. How do I get around this ######### problem?

So you are trying to check out yum cvs? You don't need yum to do so.

There is an explaination of how cvs works at sourceforge.net here with examples.

I was trying to download cvs yum 2.1.4 but the cvs server listed at the yum home page didnt want to let me in, and its something that always seems to happen to me when I try cvs servers....I see now that it is not something I am doing though.
