Does an install from USB/hard drive have to use the ISO image?
I'm just wondering (out loud) whether it's possible to build the relevant repos on the USB stick so that the RPM's can be kept more up to date. I understand that anaconda may not support this right now, so this is just a musing about the feasibility of it all
The reason for this is that I'd like to be able to install fully updated systems with all the latest updates. I have a system which can download & install the latest RPM's, but the machines I install to are not directly connected to this. I can enable the Fedora & Updates repos during installation, but this then downloads all the updates every time an install is done.
If I could use Spacewalk, I'd do it in a flash, but geographical diversity completely prevents this.
Cheers
