Disk Quotas

Runing Core2 x86_64.

FSTAB:

/dev/sda3 / reiserfs defaults 1 1
LABEL=/boot /boot ext3 defaults 1 2

How do I enable disk quotas for the root partition? Do I have to recompile the kernel?

the package quota.x86-64 is installed by default.

I can run quotacheck so the apps are installed but for some reason everytime i try putting usrquota or grpquota in my fstab my system wont boot properly.

Anyone know how to get quotas runing?

It's all in the quota package.

Try setquota and the other quota tools. See man setquota for the options for the command.
