Question Hardrive Failing help

Hi,

Recently every time I boot into Fedora 11, there is a warning at the top right corner prompting "Hard drive failing". Wonder how should I fix it? When I click on it, it bring me to Palimpsest Disk Utility and I did the scan, here is the screen shot of it, thanks:

i get a very sim. warning about my 8 year old drive that has XP on it, but i have 8 bad sectors . ALL drives have bad sectors ( even new ones from the factory ) and as they age more pop up .

i would not worry to much .Unless the count starts going up FAST . To turn off the warning , uncheck " disk notification " in the start up services
/System/Preferences/Startup Applications ( in Gnome )

Check the messages from SMART. It 's probably failing. Last time I had this message, my HD refused to boot the OS. I did a surface scan and Palimpset was right (actually, it only reads the messages from SMART). My tip: backup everything and change you HD.

If you wanna be sure about the trouble, just execute:

smartctl -A /dev/sdX
