Xserver no screens found

Hopefully a very quick question - sorry if it's a bit dumb!. fc10 64bit.

All was fine, until I added a second monitor to the graphics card - fc10 correctly made use of this second monitor - no problem at all... but.... then i removed the second monitor and now Xorg.0.log shows:

(EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration

Fatal server error:
no screens found

Questions is - is there a command line command to cause fc10 to recreate the Xserver config as it correctly did during installation?

Cheers
D

btw - I can't even find xorg.conf! Is this normal? Xorg.0.log shows (near the top) (EE) Unable to locate/open config file.
