Okay, so i'm trying to install drivers for my ATI Radeon card, i'm trying to make the move from ubuntu on my laptop to Fedora since i hear its boosted in mobile broadband and wireless support to match ubuntu. I use arch on my desktop comp and am fairly linux competant, but cannot seem to figure out why i can't enable desktop effects. i've heard of the whole ati dropping certain cards, but MY card an ATI Radeon 3xxx series is STILL supported from what i've read. Also in Ubuntu there was an easy click for installing propreitary drivers in the administration section, i assume its just not the same with fedora and maybe i need to download from a repository? Anyway's in ubuntu 9.04 it works just fine, no installation of drivers or anything, so now i'm just wondering if maybe its an install away or if its just not possible for me with fedora. Oh, and i'm using fedora 11. i asked in the irc but the best they came up with was back to ubuntu or downgrade to fedora 10. Hopefully this can work, thanks ahead.
