Wont boot after update (Grub issue?)

Hallo,

I've updated my Fedora 11 installation today and my laptop (Acer Aspire 5610Z) doesnt boot any more.

Was there a grub update the past few days or something else? Should I try to re-install Grub? And can I use my Fedora 10 CD to do so?

Thanks for any help

What you should do depends on what you mean by "doesn't boot".

It seems that Grub isnt installed any more in the boot sector of my hdd. No errors at all, just a blinking cursor.

Im downloading the Fedora 11 Live CD now, in hope that I can re-install Grub.

I also can't mount the encrypted root partition on the Fedora 10 Live CD. I write back, when I know more.

Thanks anyway for your posts

//edit: I've Ext3. When I first installed Fedora Ext4 wasnt marked as stable or was available at all. I've upgraded the system from Fedora 10 to 11 one month ago.
//edit2: fixed it by reinstalling Grub. Didnt know that Grub has such a nice shell.
