PackageKit not running, Fedora not reliable

Today I tried to use PackageKit and it says starting.... but does nothing. is there a problem with PackageKit today? I've had more problems with Fedora 11 this week than ever.

As much as I like using Fedora. its been unreliable. Last person that I gave a copy of fedora to had trouble with different hardware and then I gave him a copy of Ubuntu 9.04 and he's happy with it. Too bad, it's hard to recommend Fedora when it has so many issues. I know many here will use it no matter what, but it does not help the promotion of Linux to the general public. For the people I deal with, Ubuntu/Xubuntu/Mint have been a more reliable choice. So instead of telling me that I don't learn enough about Fedora to use it, maybe the Fedora community could build a more reliable distro so more people could use it and I could recommend it to others!

It's installing 274mb, 118 files. I assume that it's just writing over the existing files?

That's why we call it update
Reboot after it completes. Post here any error.

Connection to repos has been slow... 70kb most of the time. Maybe I should use another mirror for repos?

If still downloading, stop it, then do
    Code:
    su
    yum install yum-presto yum-plugin-fastestmirror
Then redo the commands I gave you earlier

    Picasa installed [Solved]

After updating yum and rebooting Picasa 3 was able to install. But I still can't log into gmail to send photos.

    error message:
    Http OpenRequest failed (12157)
    https://www.google.com/accounts/ClientAuth13

    So is this a bug?
