Problems installing nvidia drivers from the Nvidia Homepage (was:confused need help)

im trying to install nvidia drivers , so i went to nvidia website and downloaded the driver. it says i need to type sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-185.18.14-pkg2.run in terminal but when i do it says no such file or directory, now i realize i have to change directory , but i don't know the address where the folder where the driver resides , so i can do cd /blah/blah . I'm confused , how do i get rid of this file browser ? how do i switch to natilus(ubuntu's file browser) ?

Did you have a look here first?

Have you tried to type in nautilus in the terminal? It's not "ubuntu's" file browser, it's the default GNOME file browser.

Welcome to the forum.

The thread title has been edited so that it more closely reflects the question that you have asked: other users will be better informed as to the nature of your question.

P.S: I suppose you might be used to ubuntu forums. This is fine. Fedoraforum however has somewhat stricter rules. I am sure you will get used to them soon and will enjoy the atmosphere.

This is nautilus. You might want to tweak around with the view options, so it makes what you want.

What exactly do you want it to do? You did not tell.

Try to have a look at you initial post with the eyes of someone who is not sitting in front of your PC. Making screenshots and adding arrows is very often quite good in explaining your point!

BTW: Did you have a look at the thread I mentioned?

Just as info: http://www.mjmwired.net/resources/mj...ra-nvidia.html Most of us use the RPMFusion method, which is quick and easy.
