Walter Cronkite dead at 92

He was a giant of news broadcasting, sad to see him go. They don't make 'em like this anymore:

wow..reading that article, one would believe it happened a few days ago...so well put together. And CBS has already scheduled a special for Sunday? Wow, the world moves fast. They must have know it was coming. I remember him, and my parents are very sad to hear of his passing. He will certainly be missed.

He had cancer for a long time and I'm sure that the media have had things prepared for the inevitable event. Absolutely one of the greatest newsmen of all time and from an era when the news was reported, not given a slant or overshadowed by what some pop idol did that day. Walter Winchell and Edward R. Murrow now have good company.

And that's the way it is

Just came in to post this, just heard.

He was one of the good ones. A man we could all trust, a true professional. Probably the last of his breed.
