Remote login (no video-out)

So I've got a problem with a computer that I'm working on. I think that it has a hardware/video problem (BTW it's a on-board VGA mother board) but I really don't want to buy a GPU just to figure out that it's really not a video problem. the machine itself will start up and run but the monitor is not detecting a signal and I know that the monitor works because it works with other computers.

Now my question is: is there a way to remote login (like SSH) into the computer even though it previously was not set to accept SSH? It's basically has a standard install of Fedora 11.

Any ideas?

Thanks
