After upgrading to F11, I noticed that occasionally all network activity would basically stop for periods ranging from 30 seconds to five minutes. I couldn't even connect to the web interface of my router on my local network
After pulling my hair out I finally discovered that if I remove the mdns4_minimal from the hosts: line of my nsswitch.conf, the problem goes away and everything is now superfast all of the time.
The weird thing is that my F10 box never has this problem and its nsswitch.conf looks just like the F11 box's file looked before I changed it.
Any ideas as to what's going on here?
