Display resolution cannot be modified

I have upgraded my desktop to FC11 (x86_64) couple of weeks ago. I have dual monitors connected to a GEForce 9300 GE graphics card. The two monitors I have are 'HP w1707' and 'Dell 1901FP'. The 'HP w1707' is connected to the HDMI interface on the graphics card via DVI adapter and the 'DELL 1901FP' is connected via the DVI interface using the DVI to VGA adapter. Here is the output of 'xrandr' command.

Screen 0: minimum 2464 x 900, current 2464 x 900, maximum 2464 x 900
default connected 2464x900+0+0 0mm x 0mm
2464x900 50.0*

My questions are:

1. Why is the min and max resolution the same value (2464x900)?
2. How did it get set to that value?
3. How can I have a range of display resolutions?

Prior to FC11 I did not have to tinker around with display resolution because everything appeared fine. Once I upgraded to FC11 the display resolution on 'DELL 1901FP" is low and I want to increase it. Any help is much appreciated.
