Fixes Intel wireless in Fedora 11 after upgrade

I did an upgrade to F11 from F10 yesterday. I was a bit shocked after selecting an upgrade that Anaconda just went off and did it.

Anyway, went fine except for wireless not working. modprobe iwlagn produced a bunch of errors including:

kernel: cfg80211: Unknown parameter `ieee80211_regdom'

I found this:

http://209.85.229.132/search?q=cache...ient=firefox-a

and then commented out:

options cfg80211 ieee80211_regdom=US

in /etc/modprobe.d/local.conf

modprobed iwlagn again and fixed.

Hope this helps some one else. I think it would only occur on an upgrade to F11.

Owen.

you likely had to create that file for some reason in the past, and forgot about it. What does 'rpm -qf /etc/modprobe.d/local.conf' say?
