Question Unable to access Official fedora 11 repository [SOLVED]

hello guys n gals.....

I've downlaoded and installed fedora 11....now the problem is that i am unable to access the official fedora 11 repository for some unknown reason. I've also tried 'yum' and here is the output

[localhost.localdomain]# yum update
Loaded plugins: refresh-packagekit
Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: fedora. Please verify its path and try again

although livna and rpmfusion repositories are working fine but in order to install anything successfully i.e. OpenOffice, mplayer etc. it requires 'fedora repository' for the dependencies.
any ideas why it is happening?

looking forward for help......
