Kodak DX4530

Greetings, - Can someone assist me in getting my digital camera working in Fedora 10 ? When I press the button on the docking station, a window opens asking me which application to launch to open my DX4530 camera. Gthumb Image Viewer is the default program. Clicking ok gives me another window telling me an error occurred in the io-library (unspecified): no error description available. When I run Digikam, the camera is detected but I get a "Connection Failed" message. Note: lsub shows the camera on 001 but each time I press the docking station button, it creates a different port incrementing up from 001/006 the first time I did it to 001/011 the last time. I've tried to give permission to the port each time in hopes that's the problem but that makes no difference. Anyone using this legacy camera in Fedora 10 ? -

Regards,
RL

Well, I'm trying anything that I see out on a Google search that looks like it might work. I thought Gphoto2 was installed because I got a whole screen full of locations when I issued the 'locate gphoto2' command. But I did a: # yum install gphoto2 anyway. It installed ! Now something has changed. When I press the docking station button, Gthumb comes up and although I still get the message about io-library, I can actually see and download photos from the camera and store in a folder. I'd really like to get Digikam working. Anyone have any suggestions ?
