Populating Database with webcrawler

I am building a web service application that will show the searched links only( my project is to search for specific domain reginstered websites/any links). The problem i am having is to determine how the webcrawler will populate my already existing sql database ( i am using sql 2005 client edition. I am not looking for technical specification or troubleshoots but only a theoritical view of how webcrawler can be directed to populate my sql database.
