Installation on DELL 2850 or similar ?

Greetz...

Trying to install FC2 (and/or FC3) on a DELL 2850 (and 1850).
One container with the hardware raid software was created and I'm trying to install FC2 on it.
Fedora is NOT picking up the raid device - just complains that it doesn't see any disks to install on.

Running a PERC4e/Di with megaraid2 software/drivers.

Any ideas ? hints ?

Tried Google - nothing helpfull.
Tried Dell support - nothing helpfull (only support RH-ES/RH-AS)

Thnx a lot.

I just found myself in a similar position...

I've got a fresh PE2850 which I'd like to run FC2 on. I copied the Dell drivers from their site (http://ftp1.us.dell.com/scsi-drivers...0.7-A10.tar.gz) which are designed for this controller, but only blessed for the enterprise-versions.

I boot the RH install with expert noprobe dd and toss in my driver disk, but it hands on a bluescreen as soon as the floppy gets loaded. I haven't got any further than this.

I'm going to try in the next few days doing a FC2 install on an older PE, then create a new kickstart image with these new drivers added in. Hopefully that'll work.

Any other advice or stories about FC2 and the new, new Dell PE series would be appreciated...

I just put RHES on a Dell 4800 (I think that's what it is) with two SCSI containers, so you might want to consider trying CentOS instead of FC.
