Hi,
System specs:
* Intel Core2 Duo E6700 (stock speed)
* 4Gb DDR2 800 MHz (2.88 Gb visible in 32-bit mode in BIOS)
* 1Gb GeForce 7950GX2
* Intel i975X chipset
* SB Audigy 1 Platinum
* DVD-ROM drive used for install - Pioneer DVD-106
HD is 2x 500 GB WD5000AYBS RE2 drives in RAID-0 using EZ-RAID. Looks like one big SATAII HD.
It loads the very first part to a text display with 5 options. All result in a corrupt install message followed very quickly by a reboot.
I checked the ISO, both by confirming the SHA1 hash, and also by running the ISO in a VM.
I'm currently burning my second DVD, but I'm not hopeful. Drive used to the burn the disk is a Sony external drive. It has done very few read/write cycles in its life (<50). All dics to date have burned correctly.
The disc playing up reads OK on its own, but appears to be corrupted when trying to install from it.
Any ideas? If you need more hardware info, let me know.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Best regards,
AstroTux.
