FC2 & ndiswrapper 0.7 problems

I had wireless working fine on FC1. After a fresh install of FC2 the ndiswrapper keeps crashing on me. I can compile, install, install the driver but as soon as I try to use iwconfig
I get an oops and the machine becomes unusable.

I'm using a Dell Truemobile 1300 miniPCI (802.11b/g)

Any ideas?

I had exactly the same problem, is because of the 4kstacks, i have a FC2 test3 release and it has that problem, i dont know if the if you can still recompile your kernel without the 4kstacks, but what i had to do, was install a 2.6.5 kernel, downloaded from kernel.org because the fedora kernel wont allow you to disable the 4kstacks so... i recommend download a 2.6.5 kernel from kernel.org and compile it withouth the 4kstacks and thats it.

I had also the same problem with a Linksys WMP11 v2.7 that has the broadcom chipset.
This is bacause the default stack size in Fedora Core 2 kernels is only 4K.
But many Windows drivers require at least 8K of stack to operate properly.

You can freely download a 8k kernel for FC2 on linuxant we site at :
http://www.linuxant.com/driverloader...ernel-i686.php

This works fine for me.

Let me know.
