Question please help with my partitions ...

hi everyone,

i´ve got one hd, it used to be a windows disk, divided in one primary (hda1) and one extended partition (hda2?). the extended partition contains two logical partitions (hda5 and hda6). linux swap takes hda4, while the linux root partition uses hda3. now i´d like to make a partition w/ /home, but the partition tools just tells it doesn´t work (perhaps it can´t use hda7 up??) ...

ideas are welcome, i really want my homedrive on an own safe partiton!
greetings
shtik
