Not going to be acceptable. nspluginwrapper is installed by default for compatibility with plugins and additional security. Compatibility with plugins strictly speaking is not necessary anymore since all of the major supported plugins already have 64-bit versions at this point.

I have to compile these on every single kernel update >_>. Not a problem, but would be handy not to have to.
Third party kernel modules are not allowed in Fedora as a separate package. Might be suitable for RPM Fusion but better ask the developers, why they haven't upstreamed it.

Ah dang.

xD

oh well, i'll just keep on <strike>riding</stike> compiling.

EDIT:

What about adding these, kinda like how the lightning extension is?

http://groups.google.com/group/thund...mail-extension

These are very commonly used.

Also, I use them, so that makes them cool <.. ..>

Note: Might want to find the stable ones, those ones are generally not so stable.

Hi,

Kompozer has been dead upstream for a while though I read that upstream has picked up development again. Let's hope that bring it up to other architectures.

Hello:

I'll see how I make out with trying to package some of the new stuff and go from there.

It is possible to package Firefox and Thunderbird extensions. I haven't really looked into them. yet.

Nicotine+

It isn't that difficult to install, but 'twould be nice if Nicotine+ was yum-installable. An rpm of an older version (1.2.8) is available for Fedora 8 from Marius Feraru, and it seems not too difficult to package.

I would be so bold as to volunteer to package it, but don't want to make a mess of it and destroy people's installations. If it really is as straight-forward as running this command, and then submitting the package to wherever packages do get submitted, I'll be happy to do it.

sK1 looks very interesting:

"sK1 is an open source vector graphics editor similar to CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, or Freehand which just had it's first public release a few days ago"

It would be great, if you could volunteer

Don't worry about destroying anything. You package would go through a good review process.

thunderogg: interesting one - I maintained sk1 for Mandriva, I could probably turn it into a Fedora package quite easily. I'll try and get some time to do that soon.

Ah, I beg your pardon for the delay! I've had a little go at building it, but have failed. I had to do one tweak (commenting out the icon line in setup.cfg, if that means anything to you) to make it progress with the process. Now it gets stuck with the error:
Code:
can't copy 'files/nicotine-plus-32px.png': doesn't exist or not a regular file
while the file certainly does exist, and appears to be a regular file.

Some more tweaking is needed, but if that isn't enough I'll have to open up a new thread to hopefully get it built collaboratively.
