Smile how to free disk space due to mis-install some stuffs there and reboot the system

HELLO,

I installed some softwares such as gcc, gmp, mpfr in the linux system in the root directory, but when it is in the middle process it is stopped because there is no space left. So I want to boot the Linux Fedora system, it failed. So my questions are:

(1) how to remove the stuffs installed in root to let have some spaces there?
(2)how to re-boot the Fedora system in order to do deleting stuffs in the root? Or do I have to re-install Fedora 10?

Hope to get help!
Thanks!

You should be able to delete from single user mode or a rescue session with the install disk.

Failing that, boot a livecd mount the partition and delete stuff (carefully).

If you are using lvm you can add extra space from a spare partition (if available) pretty easily, otherwise you might want to reinstall in a bigger partition. (If there is a partition available in the space directly after the current partition then you can extend the filesystem into it with fdisk and resizef2s)
