Automatic Login

How is this done under Gnome. I am pretty sure that I was able to do this in previous versions using gdm.

eg

[daemon]
TimedLoginEnable=true
TimedLogin=you
TimedLoginDelay=10

in /etc/gdm/custom.conf

It still works in F11, at least for me.

This works the intended way

[daemon]
AutomaticLoginEnable=true
AutomaticLogin=you

another way is:

# gedit /etc/gdm/gdm.schemas

change:

<key>daemon/AutomaticLoginEnable</key>
<signature>b</signature>
<default>true</default>
</schema>
<schema>
<key>daemon/AutomaticLogin</key>
<signature>s</signature>
<default>you</default>
</schema>

yeah it seems a low timedlogindeay is the better route to go as otherwise you never get to see the gdm screen if you logout
