am i safe?

are there any programs that will protect my computer on the internet. Just started using fed 10 from windows so i am not sure what i need to do. I am using an acer aspire 5630 laptop. any advice would be appeciated.

I not sure if there is one program but there are many things you can do to better secure you laptop. You could start by reading the N.S.A.'s guide to securing RedHat, most of that info applies. I posted a list HERE with some of what I do to secure my computers. Hope it helps.
