LVM problem - allocate the unallocated won't work 4 me

Using gparted.

The setup has:-
sda1 = fat32
sda2 = ext
sda3 = /home
sda4 = linux swap
and then 45Gb of unallocated

selecting the unallocated and - 'new partition' gives "can't create more than four primarys, make an .ext". This makes sense except that I already have one.
I can't extend the ext as it is not adjacent to the unallocated.

where do I go from here ? to use the unallocated space in /home ?

p.s.
((tried to upload a tar.gz image of the qparted output but seems no result - but that's another problem i guess)

Here you can see that /dev/sda3 mounted under /home.And /dev/sda3 is not and LVM partition.

That means that you cant add 45G to your /home partition.So if you decided to resize /home I suggest you to backup it,delete and create a new one( my suggestion is LVM because its more easy to administrate it).
