Lightbulb linux-wlan-ng and fc2 with dlink -122

Hello,
Firstly i am a relative newbie to linux. I have installed FC2 and it iis working fine on my laptop Dell lattitude 660 JX. I have a D-link 122 USB wireless network adapter. I installed linux-wlan-ng. FC2 now recognizes the adapter and connects to the internet. But after about 1 min i cant connect anymore. I cant ping the router or do any operations till i log out. I log back in and i can connect, but only for about 2 minutes. Can anyone shed light on this ? When i run ifconfig it seems to assign the ip address correctly.

Thanks
Srinath
