amarok mp3 playing problem
the playback isnt working in amarok here is the output

bump - same issue here. Amarok 2.1b2 on F11.
Switching to gstreamer in phonon fixes it, but the play/pause/stop buttons don't work correctly with gstreamer.

those are instructions for gstreamer mp3 plugins. Phonon + gstreamer + amarok has some problems, primarily play/pause doesn't work.
xine-lib-extras-freeworld is the package you need.

Those instructions should all available freeworld codecs, for both gstreamer and xine-lib. That's what worked for me, and as I wrote those instructions. 
If you have suggestions or feedback to make them better, I'm all ears.

I have also had a lot of difficulties/errors/... in amarok 2.*,
that in mind and I couldn't synchronize my iPod with it made me go back to amarok 1.4 (which is rock-stable)
I compiled it from source (on F10) and everything works perfect
|
