crash at chkconfig install

Hi,

I am updating from RH8 to FC2 on a dell latitude c800 laptop via downloaded iso images. I have checked the media (numerous times) but the installation quits with a fatal error at the install of chkconfig. The options it gives for the problem are bad media (it has been checked), hardware error (???) and low disc space (plenty there). Any ideas?

Thanks,

Matt
