Japanese input (Fedora 8)

So yay! Perfect Dark runs under Wine, and I didn't have to do anything special. It just worked.

Buuuut... Japanese shows up as blocks .

I think it might be because I don't have Japanese installed per se, but I can see Japanese fine in Firefox.
I googled for a way to install Japanese (be able to type in Japanese) on Fedora 8, but the only thing remotely useful was a guide for Ubuntu and it relies on Ubuntu's repositories.

edit: It seems I need to install IIIMF for Japanese input, but again, my searches have been fruitless.

I think that you'll have to get it into your $HOME/.wine/drive_c/windows/Fonts directory. I don't know about doing input that way, but at least you might see something. The square blocks mean that it can't find any fonts.
