Fedora 11 Power Management test day tomorrow (Thursday)

There is another test day tomorrow (Thursday), our regular scheduled one: this is on power management. It has been expertly organized by James Laska and the power management developers, and looks great: as with all recent test days, there's a live CD image available and a set of simple, well-defined test cases to carry out. If you're at all interested in power management - and if you own a laptop, you should be - please swing by the Test Day tomorrow (#fedora-qa in IRC, as always - see this page if you're not sure how to use IRC), and post your results to the page!

I just have to say, if more participation is requested, I think the right thing is being done by building a "livecd" to accomplish those tasks. It encourages participation by even the hardware-poorest of participants. I would, however like to suggest the following:

1. Create a wizard / downloadable script to assist or guide testing and reporting.
2. Make it easier to enroll / report findings.

Point 1 would make data more complete and accurate. Point 2 would simply lead to more results coming in. I tried to participate the the Nouveau testing and not only did I fail in reporting complete data because of my own lack of smarts, but I was unable to post what I had because of the prohibitive and confusing signing up part.

You can actually edit the test day Wiki pages without signing up for an account, they're in a special namespace that lets you edit them without logging in. I'll make this information more prominent for future test days.
