New sound problems

Ok, so i have sound now, BUT! there is a but... Its coming from my integrated speaker, and not my own speakers. This is annoying as hell, since that tiny piece of S*** cant do **** (Other than making alot of annoying beeping sounds >.< )
To my question(s):
How the hell do i make linux play the sound to my speakers instead of the built in thingy?
Note: If i crank em up to max, i can hear a tiny sound, although it is sparkling and barely noticable.
Note 2: Im on an old (Soon useless) HP computer (stationary)...
i feel that im getting closer since its at least playing some sound, and no aumix wont work, neither do the volume controls. ( BTW, for aumix, alot of people talk about some sliders, for me its just a terminal program)

Can you start by listing your hardware specs, and your software in use. Also the steps you have followed already to try to solve this issue. The more real information you provide the better chances for you to get some help....

Yeah i fixed this

Went to sound properties, changed the settings so that the volume control controlled the right sounds, then to turn off the annoying speaker i checked a box (Dont remember the name since im not on that computer now :P) That activated the headphones swithc. So that linux now understood that i had speakers connected ^^ Damn that was annoying :P 3 days to find that switch XD
