Microsoft's Ballmer hopes for Yahoo talks

http://www.reuters.com/article/techn...52I5AF20090319 one wonders if M$$ waited for this Financial Crisis to make a smaller deal or whatever with yahoo

You know, I honestly don't see why "Yahoo!" is made to be known as a bad company, and someone fired just because they didn't except a buy out. IMO, that's a bit out of order, why should Yahoo have to except the buyout even if they don't want to? is it because it's MS?

i think the old CEO of Yahoo was probably ignorant an just couldnt reach an agree'd deal with M$$ , but maybe with a New CEO of yahoo a new deal could be reached, but how many uses would dump yahoo mail if the deal goes through

Which email service do you use? I mainly use gmail and hotmail (hotmail as it's a years and years old account and has a lot of valuable emails and has free pop/smtp like gmail)

Jerry Yang had the misfortune of Yahoo! stocks tanking shortly after the rejection of Microsoft's bid, which resulted in returns much, much lower than what they would have netted from the 60-percent premium offered in the buyout.

Plus, Yang wasn't actually taking Yahoo! anywhere. The combination of lacklustre leadership possibly contributed to his departure but probably not as much as the ire of stockholders pissed off at watching the MS gravy train pass them by

I rarely sign into MSN, being a long term Linux user, why do you want MSN? xD

I've never really used aim, but I got 5 emails as it is, so I'm not going to go check it

TB works fine for me with G.
