GNOME 2.26 Released

http://library.gnome.org/misc/release-notes/2.26/

And to the newbies, before you ask, no, it won't be available for Fedora 9 or 10. It's Fedora policy not to build a new version of Gnome for a current release as it breaks/requires too many things

No, it probably doesn't. Most distros will probably still use the old, but stable GDM. Fedora will continue to use the "not finished yet" version of GDM

The only time new Ubuntu is interesting *is* when Gnome adds new stuff.

I assume that this release is more of a code-cleanup/maintenance/kicking-out-old-libs one. So, from user's POV really nothing to get too excited about. All the major changes are, hopefully, going to be seen in F13.
Although Evolution's improved Exchange support might prove useful to those working in MS environments.
