Turning Current Running Fedora Install into an iso...

Hello!

Yesterday I sat here, wondering if I should reinstall Vista, then install Fedora 10. The vista version I had was a skimmed down 3GB version... when It installed, it failed massively... the mouse didn't even work!

So that's when I decided that I'm going to try to go 100% Fedora 10! So Far It's been great!

I Installed Fedora 10 a couple times before, as I was getting used to Linux, I'm a windows user for over 10 years... but after trying Fedora, I realized Linux is much better.

Basically, at the moment, I have Fedora 10 installed on my pc. What I would like to do is create an .iso from this installation that has everything I'm running/using right now. So if for some reason I do have to reformat, or backup, I can completely wipe my pc, and reinstall knowing I don't have to get compiz-fusion, nvidia, and everything else working again.

Thanks for any input,

Stephen.

I looked into clonezilla, but it says on it's wiki that clonezilla will only allow a reinstall if the partition your installing on is the same as the one you made the image from...

What I need is a program that will take what I'm running right now, and basically make it into a Fedora OS DVD. That way I have everything setup and ready to roll if I put it on another system or if I need to reinstall Fedora for some reason.

Thanks,
Stephen

Hi Stephen,
Like you, I want to create a bootable rescue/help DVD, with the necessary stuff to restore all the backed-up system. I use Fedora F10-x86_64. What tool to use?
Ps. This is a help for two.
Thanks.

What you want guys is Revisor and kickstart editor. You can make setting, which application to install, which user will be on a system and simplify installation to command GO and fedora will install everything like you told to it.
Problem is you need to edit a kickstart file and this is where pain stars but after everything will be done by itself !!!
sudo yum install revisor #-and you will have kickstart editor also
revisor used by fedora unity to create a respin of Fedora release, so have fun.
