But you know some people can't cope if glxgears isn't optimal

glaxium is another easy benchmark with more sophsiticated gl calls. Unfortunately the install brings in the huge PersonalCopy-Lite-patches rpm which might put people off.

Proving once again that glxgears is an extremely poor benchmark measurement. Personally, I find hardinfo's FBENCH (FPU RayTracing) test to be accurate enough for meaningful results.
