Code:
sudo yum install xmms xmms-mp3 xmms-faad2 xmms-pulse xmms-skins
but the player is not starting up when I click on the pictogram and even if I run the xmms executable file from /usr/bin/xmms
when I try to run the xmms from terminal it says:

Error: "/home/bizar/.kde/socket-bizar.domain" is not a link or a directory.
Error: "/home/bizar/.kde/socket-bizar.domain" is not a link or a directory.

(The previous message was repeated 1 times.)

Does /home/bizar/.kde/socket-bizar.domain or /home/bizar/.kde/ exist already? If so, does it belong to your user?

1) get a terminal
2) become root
3) chown -R yourusername:yourusername ~/.kde
