Cool Compaq Presario 700us and Fedora Core 2

First let me say Fedora is fantastic! The install was flawless and all of my hardware was detected. The update process was also fantastic. I migrated from Red Hat 9 and then Mandrake 10. My problem isn't with Fedora but with my hardware. I have an S3 Savage (KN133) and have not been able to get DRI enabled. I have updated with the latest drivers from the DRI site with no errors. I am at a complete loss. Anyone else having/had this problem?

Still looking. I seem to have read that the x.org does not support this for the S3 Savage yet.

Yeah, I have a IBM T20 and it also has S3 and there are no other drivers for it. So you are stuck with the generic driver, but you made a great choice by coming over to FC3 and welcome. Also if you havent already goto www.fedorafaq.org and also this a must for yum http://linux.rasmil.dk/mambo/index.p...d=41&Itemid=41 get that and it will make setting up your yum so easy because it will add all the repos for you and then u just click the ones you want to use.
