Access hard drive from live usb?

Hi, I've installed F10-live.iso anto a usb key but am having problems with the non-priviledged user I created. When I login as kurt, I do not have access to my home directory on the hard drive. I tried
[root@localhost home]#chmod kurt kurt (after cd-ing to the correct spot), but still cannot access my files there.I can do so as Live System User, but not as me. Any help would be much appreciated.

try to mount your home's partition using the -o uid=kurt option that may solve your prob

Well, no wonder, chmod kurt kurt is pretty buggy no? I fiddled with mount for a while and tried chown again, this time typing it correctly and voila, it works, Thanks anyway, darkshadow.
