Xserver 1.6 in F10

Will we see builds of xserver 1.6 in F10. This will also result in intel users able to switch to Uxa with new intel and mesa drivers.

thay have to update

1. Xserver + related X11 libs.
2. xorg intel driver to 2.6.2
3. mesa 7.3
4 libdrm 2.4.5

chao

You'll have to ask a certified psychic or maybe the maintainer.
It only was just released into Rawhide, best place to tell is to watch it in koji and see if the generate any test builds for F10.

I am doing that but I thought maybe some dev visiting may reply to it.
I want to know that whether they have the plans to do so or not.
may be I should use their mailing list.

That would be a better place to ask the question, yes. Most developers do not have time to read the forums.

i doubt we'll get or see 1.6.x in Fedora10, its to much of a jump feature wise etc,

only thing they'll do is keep on stablising 1.5.x

You'll have to install it, and any dependencies needed, from rawhide, or try re-compiling the same yourself.

you cannot install 1.6.0 from rawhide unless you totally wanna screw your PC up. its built with a different Openssl an GCC than what fedora10 comes with, or wait for the fedora11 beta an install that
